Volunteers Fish Counting Along the Eagle in Early Spring

There are many opportunities to volunteer throughout the year.  Use the signup form to the right to be notified of the next chance to serve your community and keep our rivers healthy.

Community Pride Highway Cleanup

The CPHC is the largest event the ERWC hosts and is also the largest highway clean up in the state of Colorado.  Every spring, hundreds of volunteers participate and remove literal tons of trash from our local highways.  You can read more about the clean up and how to participate here.

Eagle River Clean Up

The Eagle River Clean Up is held every year in the Fall.  It is organized similarly to the highway clean up with team leaders organizing a group of volunteers for their mile of the river.

Electrofishing and Monitoring

Twice a year ERWC volunteers help Colorado Division of Wildlife perform fish counts at several sites in the valley.  These counts help CDOW determine the health of the fish population and the success of our restoration projects in some cases.

Fall and Spring Volunteering

Each fall and spring ERWC is engaged in either an ongoing project like the Eagle River in Edwards Restoration Project or a new project like Red Dirt Creek.  We can always use volunteers for a number of tasks on these projects.  You can read about the Fall 2010 volunteer efforts here and lean about the upcoming Spring 2011 volunteering opportunities here.
