Fall 2011 Volunteering

Students construct a willow wattle.

The willows were back again this fall! Once again, ERWC worked with volunteers to construct willow wattles to be used for our restoration project in Edwards, CO. Last year over 200 volunteers gave nearly 1,200 hours of their time to the project! This year our volunteers are set to break all records with 1,928 volunteer hours from 535 amazing volunteers!

235 trees and 310 shrubs were planted at the restoration

1,000 beaver cages were cleaned or installed

2,450 willows were planted

154 willow wattles were installed

15,000 plants were watered all summer

36 tires were removed

We couldn't have done it without our incredible volunteers!

Thank you for another great fall.
