ERWC had lots of exciting volunteer opportunities spring 2011.  Similar projects are in store for spring 2012.  Be sure to stop by frequently as we constantly update our website with new information about projects.

April 2nd and 3rd: Ice chopping

Time: 8 AM- when the ice is gone
Location: White River Ranger Station parking lot in Minturn
Bring: Pick axes, ice choppers, waders, and warm clothes.
Good to know: People who participate in ice chopping get the privilege of participating in electrofishing.

April 5th-7th: Electrofishing

Time: 8 AM
Location: Several sites along the Eagle River from Red Cliff to Arrowhead
Bring: Waders and warm clothes.

April 16th and 17th: Harvest willows for spring planting at Edwards

Time: 9 AM-3 PM
Location: Blue Bridge in Edwards
Bring: Your lunch, sturdy shoes work gloves, pruners if you have them, hat, and sunscreen.

April 30th and May 1st: Willow planting/harvesting

Time: 9 AM-3 PM
Location: Edwards Eagle River restoration site, details TBA

May 14th and May 15st: Willow planting/harvesting

Time: 9 AM-3 PM

Note: These dates are weather/runoff permitting and will be cancelled if the planting are completed on previous volunteer days.
