The Colorado Water Institute (CWI)

The Colorado Water Institute (CWI), an affiliate of Colorado State University, exists for the express purpose of focusing the water expertise of higher education on the evolving water concerns and problems faced by Colorado citizens.  The mission of the Colorado Water Institute is to connect all of Colorado's higher education expertise to the research and education needs of Colorado water managers and users.

Eagle River Watershed Retrospective Assessment Program

The USGS, in cooperation with the Eagle County Board of Commissioners, Eagle River Water and Sanitation District, and Upper Eagle Regional Water Authority is assessing the quantity and quality of the surface- and ground-water resources in the Eagle River watershed. The study will provide an understanding of the natural and human factors that affect the quantity and quality of the water and the stream biota.
